Two cops were shot and killed in McAllen, Texas, on Saturday night, as indicated by authorities. The shooting occurred as the officials were reacting to a call at a home and experienced harsh criticism.
"What I’m trying to tell you is the officers never had a chance to suspect a deadly assault on them," McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez said at a press conference.
The speculate shot himself and passed on as different officials showed up on the scene, Rodriguez said. He was advised to drop the weapon, yet rather shot himself.
Officials Edelmiro Garza, 45, and Ismael Chavez, 39, were both killed. Garza had been on the force for around nine years, while Chavez had been employed by McAllen for around 2 1/2 years.
The two officials were articulated dead at a nearby clinic.
The suspect, recognized as Aldon Caramillo, 23, had a past filled with captures. His past charges included driving under influence, escaping from officials, attack, and weed ownership, Rodriguez said.
