A Kentucky nurse has been fatally hit by a car while tending to a crash victim last Monday leaving behind four children.
36-year-old Ana Kincart was on her way to work at an Indiana clinic at around 8:30 a.m. when she spotted a car crash involving a young man. She stopped and rushed to the scene to help and give a statement to the police.
However, and as she waited for officers, she was hit by another vehicle and died at the scene. Another driver was also pronounced dead following the crash.
"Our hearts are ripped out," her stepfather said describing her as selfless and loving. Kincart worked during the coronavirus pandemic and fulfilled her duty until the end trying to save a crash victim.
She is survived by her husband and four children, her family said.
