New York City news, New York news.

Addressing Americans from the Rose Garden in the White House, President Trump threatened that he wouldn’t hesitate to deploy what he described as “thousands, and thousands of heavily armed soldiers” to fight off the “rioting, looting vandalism, assaults and wanton destruction of property.”

The President had briefly cited the death of George Floyd as most of his speech concerned “professional anarchists, looters, criminals, Antifa and others” who are exploiting the peaceful demonstrations to perpetrate violent acts.

“I am your president of law and order. I’m mobilizing all available federal resources, civilian and military, to stop the rioting and looting, to end the destruction and arson, and to protect the rights of law-abiding Americans. We are putting everybody on warning.”
