New York City news, New York news.

Yet another police officer is caught abusing his power as he beat a George Floyd’s protester during a Friday demonstration at Manhattan Union Square.

The policeman can be seen hitting the helpless man so hard that the stick he used was heard breaking and falling on the ground. The protester, hands up, is then kicked in the legs as the cop tried to shove him.

More a dozen protesters were arrested during riots in Union Square on Friday. Officers were reacting in an aggressive way sometimes. The appalling death of George Floyd sent demonstrations nationwide since it occurred in Minneapolis: “Minneapolis and St. Paul are on fire. The fire is still smoldering in our streets,” Gov. Tim Walz said. “The ashes are symbolic of decades and generations of pain, of anguish unheard.”
