New York City news, New York news.

The fears of the Bronx man who had made headlines earlier last month had become reality after he tried suicide by-cop because he tested positive for the coronavirus and didn’t want to be a victim to the bug.

“Please kill me…please kill me…shoot me here,” Ricardo Cardona asked officers as he laid troubled on the roadway. Cardona had diabetes and was afraid his coronavirus infection would cost his life.

Body-camera obtained from both the involved cops showed Cardona was threatening to kill himself until he was neutralized by police. He was immediately rushed to Jacobi Hospital where he died from the coronavirus five days later.

The Medical Examiner confirmed that Cardona succumbed to the novel virus because of his underlying health conditions and his gunshot injuries.
