Minnesota news, US news.

According to Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, state officials are committed to a long-term change.

On Friday, Ellison said that the situation with Mr. Floyd is intolerable, unacceptable and that it must change.

The attorney general said that Minnesota will work on fixing the whole society since it appeared after Floyd's "murder" that so many people are behind based on their history, their second-class citizenship, and their discrimination from many services.

In his words, Ellison said: "We are not just going to fix the windows and sweep up the glass. We're going to fix a broken, shattered society that leaves so many people behind based on their historical legacy of being in bondage and servitude, then second-class citizenship and now fraught with disparities from everything from incarceration to housing to wages to everything else."

The attorney general added that he is forming a working group to prevent and decrease deadly force encounters with police forces.
