Minnesota news, US news.

On Friday and for the first time, President Trump tweeted about the situation in Minneapolis, threatening that if "the looting starts, the shooting starts." The tweet was covered by Twitter because it violates the platform's rules.

In his latest tweet, the President said that the National Guard is already in Minneapolis and is fully prepared to cover the place and if necessary, to resist to the protests and back-up the city from the protesters, who gathered in Minneapolis to speak up Floyd's death and raise awareness regarding Black American lives.

After his tweet on Thursday evening, the Minnesota National Guard sent more than 500 soldiers to the St. Paul, Minneapolis, and surrounding communities.

Trump tweeted on his official account: The National Guard has arrived on the scene. They are in Minneapolis and fully prepared. George Floyd will not have died in vain. Respect his memory!!!
