More than 100,000 Americans lost their lives

US news, US news.

It took less than four months for an unseen enemy to kill 100,000 Americans.

In less than four months, 100,000 Americans lost their lives. A number that is twice the number of Americans who lost their lives during the entire Vietnam War.

As the first case of the pandemic was recorded in the US on February 6th, no one was expecting that the situation could get this bad.

However, since then, around 900 Americans lost their lives each day from COVID-19.

Americans are still confused about whether to adopt protective measures, such as wearing masks, even if the number of deaths is still escalating.

A study claimed that the path ahead in the COVID-19 pandemic is being traced by masks.

"We now have really clear evidence that wearing masks works — it's probably a 50% protection against transmission," Dr. Chris Murray, director of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, or IHME, at the University of Washington, said on Tuesday.
