Cuomo said he had a great meeting with President Trump

New York news, US news.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said in a news conference that his meeting with President Trump was about how to speed up the reopening of the state, and surpassed their political differences.

Cuomo described the meeting with the President a good conversation and said Trump understood what we were talking about.

Cuomo said the meeting was full of politics. The focus, according to him, was related to how to speed up the reopening, especially in New York, the epicenter of the virus in the US. Both politicians discussed how to take big infrastructure projects that have been waiting for a long time now, and that could have been done 30 years ago since the jobs they'll engender are much needed now more than ever.

Cuomo added that Trump is aware that New York is waiting about getting these projects done as soon as possible.

Cuomo said that these projects will help stimulate the economy and speed up the reopening, and would change the infrastructure that is pretty ancient and obsolete.

Cuomo met with the President at the White House in a closed meeting earlier today to discuss infrastructure projects as well as the economic and medical impact of the coronavirus.
