Just 2 days after reopening, Ford plants close over new coronavirus cases among employees

Two Ford assembly plants have been forced to close and ordered the workers to leave on the second day since resuming operations after three new coronavirus cases recorded among personnel.

The Ford plants in Michigan and Illinois asked thousands of employees to leave their sites on Tuesday and Wednesday after three positive cases of COVID-19; Two in the Chicago plant and a third in Dearborn, Michigan.

The company’s employees were motivated to resume work and earn their livelihood. One of them said: “I’m worried right now. This is the second day, and we are already hearing about this.”

The American automaker had however taken numerous safety measures such as social distancing, adjusted workspaces, and temperature checks.
