Recent studies on Chinese and French coronavirus patients have revealed that a large part of them developed neurological symptoms that went from simple headaches to severe encephalitis.

Some patients experienced a neurological disorder called Guillain-Barre syndrome that causes the immune system to attack the nerve cells as a response to the infection. The disorder affects muscles and can lead to paralysis.

Other COVID-19 patients had developed a severe complication that consists of encephalitis or brain swelling. The more fortunate coronavirus patients, estimated at 36 percent, had endured headaches, dizziness, disorientation, attention, and movement disorders that are all linked to the immune response.
