One suspect on the run, 3 teens arrested after they beat Asian woman with umbrella, cutting her head

According to New York City police, three teenage girls, all aged 15, were taken into custody after they brutally attacked an Asian woman with an umbrella to the point she needed to get several stitches in the head for not wearing a medical mask. Meanwhile, authorities are looking for a fourth suspect who is still at large.

The incident occurred on March 28 at around 3 p.m. on a bus traveling through Highbridge. In the footage, one of the suspects is seen shouting at the unidentified victim: “You caused coronavirus (expletive),” before they started beating her aggressively then got off the bus when it pulled up. Police are offering a reward of $2,500 to locate one of them.

The teens are currently facing hate crime assaults, menacing and harassment charges.
