US news.

On Wednesday, US authorities recorded more than 1,000 fatalities linked to the coronavirus pandemic that is currently hitting hard the country with over 200,000 confirmed cases.

Across the states, safety measures are implemented with stay-at-home orders being extended or issued. President Trump has previously insisted that governors are free to decide which safety measures should be taken: “There are some states that are different. There are some states that don’t have much of problem.”

Meanwhile, New York continues topping the nation’s death toll with more than 2,200 and 84,000 cases followed by New Jersey: 22,000 cases and 335 deaths.

Predictions are for the most part grim with COVID-19 fatalities expected to surpass 2,000 per day by mid-April.
