Lifeless bodies of man, woman found in ditch at university’s arboretum in Wisconsin

A homicide investigation is launched after the lifeless bodies of a man and a woman were found in a ditch at the University of Wisconsin, Madison’s arboretum that lies south of the main campus on March 31.

During a press conference, the UW-Madison Police Department announced that the discovery was made at about 6:30 a.m. by a jogger while running through the arboretum. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed to determine the unidentified victims’ cause and manner of death.

The would-be visitors were asked to not approach the crime scene including the entrance at Wingra Street since police are still investigating the area.
