New York City news, New York news.

A New York City nurse, who asked not to be identified, shared a disturbing photo of bodies being loaded in a giant refrigerator truck on Sunday morning.

“I took it to show to people. It is the ghastly reality of what we deal with and where some of us have ended up already,” he said. The graphic picture is the fatal side of the pandemic that hit hard the state of New York, killing more than 776 people.

“The numbers are staggering,” New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said. “This is unprecedented. We’ve never seen our EMS system get this many calls, ever.”

Outside Mount Sinai hospital, officials have started setting up tents as more infected cases are expected to be admitted: “The tents will be critical in helping us limit the spread of the disease between patients and staff.”
