An American woman who had been staying in Italy had shared her experience with coronavirus claiming that she had different symptoms than those who have been linked to the pandemic.

Julia Buscaglia, 20, started showing symptoms on February 29: “I woke up this day in agony. My head was pounding, my ears throbbing, and it felt as if my throat was on fire. My body ached, I had chills, and I had a fever of 100.2,” she said.

When she went to see a doctor, she was told that she only had a cold. That’s when she began losing hearing in her left ear. Later on, she returned to the US: “I still couldn’t hear, and at this point, I lost all ability to taste and smell, yet I did not have a runny nose or cough,” she said.

Signature symptoms of the virus are fever, coughing, and difficulty of breathing
