University President resigns after arrest in prostitution scandal

After his arrest in a prostitution scandal that detained 17 individuals, the President of Jackson State University, in Mississippi submitted his resignation shortly after.

Bynum who had been president of Jackson State since 2017 after serving four years as president of Mississippi Valley State University was among a dozen of people who responded to an online ad for prostitution sevices, and were baited by an undercover cop at a hotel near interstate 20.

Bynum was released from jail after paying a 3000$ bond, according to police.
