Body of 6-year-old girl swept away by flash floods found in Arizona large reservoir

Arizona authorities announced that the body of the missing 6-year-old girl who was swept away by flash floods 2 weeks earlier has been found nearly 20 miles away from where the incident took place.

The body of Willa Rawlings who has vanished along with her brother and cousin after their car was swept away by floods while trying to cross Tonto Creek was found Friday in a large lake reservoir just before 2:30 p.m.

"My condolences and prayers go to the Rawlings family, who have lost three young children and I am grateful we were able to find Willa today. As this concludes this operation this event will have a lasting effect on all of us," Sheriff J. Adam Shepherd said.

Willa's parents and four other siblings were rescued. The bodies of two other children were found earlier this month.
