A 37-year-old Bronx man was arrested Saturday after the body of a man wrapped in duct tape was found inside his apartment on September 15, according to police.
Charles Votaw is facing several charges including assault and concealment of a human body in connection to the horrifying crime.
At around 5 p.m., officers found the dead man slashed in the chest and wrists with a bound wrapped from his hands to his ankles inside the suspect's apartment located at Creston Ave. near Field Place.
Neighbors notified police after they smelled a foul odor coming from Votaw's home.
His neighbor, Maria Jimenez told reporters the odor "was a stench like something had died, but I thought it was very bad garbage."
