Landlord wrapped cord around tenant's neck, punched her several times

A Long Island landlord has been arrested after she allegedly assaulted the tenant, and tried to strangle her with a bungee cord, according to authorities.

Natalie Lapolosa, 43-year-old, has been charged with third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing. The incident occurred late Friday when the suspect grabbed the 30-year-old tenant from behind and put a bungee cord behind her neck before punching her several time on the face and neck and fleeing the scene. Responding officers couldn't arrest her at the time.

When she returned, she reportedly threatened the victim again prompting her to report the events to police. The cause of the dispute has not been made public.
