Georgia news.

A yellow jacket attack on a Georgia toddler sent him to the emergency room after suffering multiple organ failures, his family said.

2-year-old Beckham Reed was playing with an electric side-by-side toy car with other children when he struck the insects’ nest.

The wasps swarmed the boy, stinging him over 150 times. He was rushed to a hospital where he was given morphine and Benadryl and discharged.

  • Once at home, his condition worsened, and he turned pale. Doctors then told his parents he suffered a multi-organ failure that affected his heart, liver, and one working kidney.

The boy was placed on a ventilator and put on dialysis. His parents were told his small body couldn’t handle the amount of toxins he received.

“We ask God for healing and patience as physicians say this will be a slow process,” a GoFundMe for the family reads.

“There is no antivenom for yellow jackets, so all they can do is support his body while the toxins work their way out.”
