Authorities in Osceola County, Florida, said that six people were killed in a fiery head-on collision along State Road 60 Saturday evening.
Troopers responded to the crash involving a 2024 Hyundai Tucson and a 2011 semi-truck with a trailer.
The Hyundai driver was reportedly passing several vehicles on the eastbound lane before losing control of his car when trying to re-enter the westbound lane.
Officials said the Hyundai struck the front of the oncoming semi-truck before it burst into flames, trapping all six occupants inside the burning vehicle.
Three adults and three children were killed in the fiery collision. The semi-truck’s driver sustained minor injuries.
The victims’ identities were not immediately released. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
