Officers in Massachusetts found the body of a 21-year-old woman in a wooded area outside Boston on Sunday, reigniting residents’ fears of a serial killer roaming free in New England.
The unexplained death of Adriana Suazo marks the 13th suspicious fatality in the region since early March.
Her body was discovered at around 11:45 a.m. Sunday in the woods, about eight miles from Milton, Massachusetts.
The unsolved deaths involved female victims whose bodies were discovered in secluded areas of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, and Rhode Island.
Local authorities denied the speculations about a potential serial killer, but residents’ fears still exploded on Facebook and TikTok.
“I think what’s impressive is how many bodies they had that nobody can account for – I think that’s a little alarming that these bodies are just showing up. So where they had been or how well they had been hidden is always quite interesting,” said pioneer in FBI serial killer profiling, Dr. Ann Burgess.
