A Louisiana high school teacher stands accused of a heinous attack on a child who survived brain cancer, police in St. Landry Parish said.
Patrick Greene, 37, was arrested after deputies responded to reports of a domestic disturbance at a Leonville home early Sunday morning.
Greene was reportedly combative while his wife was badly beaten and her 6-year-old son severely injured and bleeding from multiple lacerations.
The child was stabbed in the face, neck, and chest during a fight involving the special education teacher and his wife.
Police removed six other children from the home and placed them with relatives.
Greene was charged with aggravated assault, domestic abuse battery, domestic abuse battery and resisting an officer.
He will be placed on administrative leave as police investigate the incident, the Calcasieu Parish School Board said.
