Parents arrested after son, 7, was fatally struck while crossing street unsupervised

A North Carolina couple is facing charges following a deadly crash that claimed the life of their 7-year-old son Tuesday evening.

The boy was unsupervised and unattended when he was left to cross the street without using a crosswalk.

    Police arrested Jessica Ivey, 30, and Samuele Jenkins, 31, in connection with their son’s death.

    They are facing felony involuntary manslaughter, felony child neglect, and misdemeanor child neglect charges.
