NYC boy, 13, arrested in stray-bullet slaying of innocent plumber

A 13-year-old Bronx boy was charged with murder for the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old plumber who was struck by a stray bullet last month.

The juvenile surrendered on Tuesday and was arraigned as a juvenile offender in Bronx Criminal Court on charges including murder and manslaughter.

Police said Daoud “David” Marji was walking back to his workplace on University Avenue near W. Kingsbridge Road after grabbing a vape pen from his car when a stray bullet struck him in the head.

    A 33-year-old woman was also caught in the gunfire, sustaining an injury to the hip.

    The juvenile and three accomplices were wearing ski masks and dark clothing when they fled the scene in a gray Honda Civic. The other suspects remain at large.
