Most of DC roadways have reopened early Saturday after a night of storms that impacted the city and would linger through the weekend.
Meteorologist Jordan Evans said that the worst is behind us, but rainfall, hail, and lightning are still in the forecast.
“The chances for (severe weather) are much lower today. But still not zero. I’m expecting passing showers and storms this afternoon, and a couple of them still could be strong to severe.”
Temperatures are set to drop to unseasonable lows by Saturday night as a wind advisory remains in effect at the Bay Bridge area.
“A chilly start tomorrow. But Sunday afternoon will be sunny and dry.”
The bad weather caused dozens of power outages in Howard and Anne Arundel counties, with 900 outages reported in the Baltimore area, 1,500 in Fairfax County, and 200 in DC.
