A Long Island woman has been charged in the stabbing death of her ex-boyfriend outside a train station earlier this month.
Nikeya Barker, 44, surrendered to authorities three days after she allegedly stabbed Shurvell Rush to death in the parking lot of an LIRR train station on May 3.
Police said Barker and Rush were involved in an argument over an incident that unfolded when they were still a couple.
Suffolk County officers were called to the parking lot at around 6:45 p.m. and located Rush, who was suffering from a stab wound in the chest.
Rush was pronounced dead at South Shore University Hospital. Surveillance footage showed Barker following Rush to the parking lot while holding “a large knife in her hand.”
Barker allegedly discarded the knife in some bushes before turning herself in to police.
