A Minnesota man reportedly confessed to killing his wife moments after he stabbed her to death while she was on the phone with her sister.
32-year-old Danielle Warren told her sister that Jason Philip Filas was “freaking out” and attacking her before she was killed on May 5.
“The victim suddenly started screaming, ‘He has a knife! Call 911! Call 911! The victim continued to scream for [the sister] to hurry, the call disconnected, and [the sister] called 911,” police said.
The sister called back Warren, but Filas answered and told her, “She should have never cheated on me. You better call 911.”
Officers responded to the couple’s home at around 9:35 a.m. and found Warren dead in a pool of blood.
The victim’s children, ages 5 and 9 months old, were at home, unharmed. The 48-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with second-degree intentional murder.
