Minnesota man stabs wife to death; tells her sister ‘She should have never cheated’

A Minnesota man reportedly confessed to killing his wife moments after he stabbed her to death while she was on the phone with her sister.

32-year-old Danielle Warren told her sister that Jason Philip Filas was “freaking out” and attacking her before she was killed on May 5.

“The victim suddenly started screaming, ‘He has a knife! Call 911! Call 911! The victim continued to scream for [the sister] to hurry, the call disconnected, and [the sister] called 911,” police said.

  • The sister called back Warren, but Filas answered and told her, “She should have never cheated on me. You better call 911.”

    Officers responded to the couple’s home at around 9:35 a.m. and found Warren dead in a pool of blood.

    The victim’s children, ages 5 and 9 months old, were at home, unharmed. The 48-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with second-degree intentional murder.
