Fayette County news, Alabama news.

An Alabama mother and her father were indicted in connection with the disappearance and death of her missing 1-year-old son, whose remains were discovered in a burn pile.

Fayette County Sheriff Byron Yerby announced Thursday that the remains found on the property of Wendy “Pam” Bailey were positively identified as 1-year-old Kahleb Collins.

“This is a heartbreaking outcome, and our thoughts and prayers are with all those who loved Kahleb,” the sheriff added.

Kahleb’s disappearance came into light after a deadly Dec. 8, 2024, crash that killed his 2-year-old sister and their father, 40-year-old Steven Bradley Collins.
