One student was stabbed to death and two others were wounded outside a Southern California high school, police said Wednesday.
The three male victims were stabbed in front of Santa Ana High School just before 3:30 p.m. as classes were dismissed for the day, district spokesperson Fermin Leal said.
Police are looking for two suspects. The victims and suspects were students at the high school.
The victims were aged 14, 15, and 16. The younger boy succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
“To see him gone is to see a piece of you gone,” a friend said, adding that he had spoken to the victim hours before his demise.
“It was a quick dap up, a quick good morning. I wish that would have been a hug. I didn’t know that was the last time I was going to see him.”
