Two women were fatally wounded and an infant is fighting for life after a car crashed into pedestrians in north suburban Winnetka Friday evening.
The tragic incident took place on Church Road near the intersection with Meadow Road at around 6 p.m.
A car was traveling south on Church Road when it struck two female pedestrians and an infant in a stroller.

One of the victims died at the scene, and the other succumbed at a hospital. The baby was listed in critical condition.
The occupants of the car were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified one of the victims as Sediqeh Samadi, 37. The cause of the crash is being investigated.
