A South Carolina man is in custody after he allegedly plowed his car into a playground, hitting two children and a teacher Thursday afternoon.

Justin Collin Adams fled the scene and was later arrested on a boat. Police now allege his act was “intentional.”

An officer told the court on Friday that Adams first drove onto the playground at the Sunrise Presbyterian Church on Sullivan’s Island, striking a 12-year-old.

He then targeted an area where kids ran for shelter and struck a teacher who “flew over the hood and onto the roof and onto the ground.”
