The bodies of two missing girls were recovered from the Missouri River, where three girls drowned while on a fishing trip last month.
On April 15, the four girls were fishing when one of them slipped into the river, and the other jumped to help her.
Only one of the four girls managed to get out of the river. The three others drowned, and their bodies were recovered this week.
The body of 18-year-old Lah Tray Moo was recovered on Saturday, and on Tuesday, authorities retrieved the remains of Laiana Green, 18, and 11-year-old Eh Cress Moo.
“Over the past two weeks, our OFD Special Operations Team has worked alongside local, state, and federal partners in the search and recovery efforts for the three teens who went missing in the Missouri River,” the Omaha Fire Department said. “All three have been recovered.”
“We extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of these girls.”
