3 killed after small plane crashes into Tennessee field

Three people died when a small plane crashed into a field in White County, Tennessee, over the weekend.

The victims were identified as Pilot Jonathan Braun and passengers Dylan Clay Davis, and his wife Kelsie Lynn Davis.

A witness spotted the aircraft going down just before noon on Saturday and called 911.

  • It took officials some time to locate the wrecked plane, which was later found in a field off Almyra Road.

    “We had one of our pilots actually go up and try to look from an aerial standpoint who actually identified the crash site,” said Upper Cumberland regional airport director Dean Selby.

    The cause of the crash is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration.
