A 2-year-old boy is dead after a shooting inside a southeast Atlanta apartment, police said.
Cops responded to Hugh Spalding Hospital just before 11 a.m. after staff reported a child being shot.
The boy succumbed to his injuries despite doctors’ efforts. His identity was not released.

Investigators determined that the boy was shot inside an apartment at 100 Bell St. SE before arriving at the hospital.
Police said that they are not looking for a suspect as they continue to investigate the shooting.
“It’s unsettling because it’s like you try to do everything to protect your kids,” a neighbor said.
