Toddler fatally shot inside Memphis home: ‘They walk around with big guns all the time’

Authorities in Memphis are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 2-year-old boy Friday afternoon.

The victim was shot inside a home in the 700 block of Josephine Avenue at around 1 p.m. He was taken to Le Bonheur Hospital, where he died.

Investigators were processing the scene outside the home, but it was not immediately clear whether the shots were fired from outside the residence.

    The toddler’s aunt said it was the second time a family member died at that home as a result of gun violence.

    “Like I said, they walk around here with these big guns all the time. Nobody do anything, cops or nobody, to me. I’m afraid to come through here, Imma be honest with you,” she added.
