A California soccer coach is facing murder charges in the death of a 13-year-old boy who vanished after visiting him late last month.

43-year-old Mario Garcia Aquino was arrested on Wednesday for assaulting another teen before he was hit with murder charges in connection to Oscar “Omar” Hernandez’s slaying.

“The charges allege that Marion Edgardo Garcia Aquino on that date of March 28, 2025, murdered Omar Hernandez in Lancaster,” the Los Angeles District Attorney said.
