A Netflix star bodybuilder died suddenly at age 44 on Monday after collapsing “while on a gym treadmill”, fellow actor and friend Said Ibrahim announced on Instagram.
“Vito had a soft heart like a ten-year-old,” Ibrahim said of the late bodybuilder, Vittorio Pirbazari.
Pirbazari, best known for his role in Dogs of Berlin, may have suffered a heart attack while working out.
The actor underwent surgery for a torn pectoral muscle in January and recently survived a near-fatal car crash.
He returned to the gym on March 23, after a 12-week break. On Sunday, he shared a tragic last selfie with his 90,700 Instagram followers.
“My current form after 12 weeks without exercise or much exercise. Of course, it’s no comparison to before, but I’m on the right track, given the circumstances.”
