Cumberland County news, North Carolina news.

A North Carolina woman was charged with murder in connection to the gruesome killing of her former Green Beret husband earlier this year.

Shana Cloud, 50, faces first-degree murder and concealment of death charges in connection to the January death of 50-year-old Clinton “Clint” Bonnell.

Bonnell went missing on Jan. 28, the day after he met with a lawyer to start divorce proceedings, his girlfriend said.

“Upon deputies’ arrival, they encountered Clinton Bonnell’s wife, Shana Cloud, who indicated she had not seen Bonnell since the day prior,” the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said.
