A Texas boy is behind bars after he allegedly shot a female classmate four times killing her on Friday.
Anaya Zachary was reportedly at a playground outside the Baytown apartment complex where she lived with her godmother when the 13-year-old suspect approached and called her name.
The suspect had a black mask covering his face when he opened fire at the 14-year-old, fatally wounding her.
“Her and the little boy got into it on the bus, and he got off the bus, he went home, he came back, he went home again. Anaya came in and asked me, ‘Tia, can I go outside?’” Sonya Stanford recalled.
“He went home, put on all black, put on a black mask, and came back and called my baby’s name and he shot my baby four times.”
The shooter has been arrested. Stanford says she “forgives” him but not his parents for allowing him access to a gun.
“You should have put your weapon up so your 13-year-old son wouldn’t have gotten this gun and shot my child. I am very hurt, I am very disappointed.”
