2 men found slain, one wrapped in duct tape and with zip-tied hands & feet, in Chicago home

Two men were found dead in a gruesome scene inside an Englewood home Friday afternoon, police said.

Officers responded to the home on South Justine Street shortly after 4:20 p.m. after the girlfriend of one of the victims discovered the bodies.

Police said one of the victims had his head wrapped in duct tape and his hands and feet zip-tied together as he lay face down in a pool of blood.

  • The other victim was found deceased, lying on a bed and wearing black gloves. A gun was located next to the head of the first victim.

    The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the first victim as 59-year-old Adalberto Santiago. He died from a gunshot wound to the back.

    The second victim has yet to be identified but autopsy showed he died from multiple injuries as a result of an assault. Both deaths were ruled as homicides.

    The girlfriend who discovered the bodies told detectives she last spoke to her boyfriend Friday morning.
