A Mississippi woman has been charged with murder after investigators ruled the death of a 3-year-old girl a homicide.
Picayune Police officers responded to a home in Crestwood Drive at around 10 a.m. on March 18.
Aurora Enfinger was found deceased at the home. Detectives quickly determined foul play’s involvement in the death.
Cops found steroids after executing a search warrant at the home. Christian and Samantha Enfinger were arrested for drug-related offenses.
On Friday, authorities determined the girl’s cause of death was blunt force trauma. Samantha Enfinger was booked on a capital murder charge.
Authorities did not specify the relationship between the couple and the toddler.
“This is a tragic situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with those who cared for Aurora,” the department said.
“We ask that you pray for those impacted by this horrible crime and never forget this beautiful child.”
