Pope Francis is set to be released from the hospital on Sunday after spending the last 38 days battling severe pneumonia in both lungs.
Gemelli Medical director Dr. Sergio Alfieri said the pontiff will need at least two months of rest after returning to the Vatican.

The 88-year-old pope, who has chronic lung disease, was admitted to the hospital on Feb. 14 after a case of bronchitis worsened turning into life-threatening pneumonia.
His condition stabilized over the last two weeks and he did not require a ventilation mask or supplemental oxygen flows at night.
