Ten people were rushed to hospitals after an explosion and fire at a Denver assisted living facility Wednesday, officials said.
The incident occurred at the Eastern Star Masonic Retirement Campus. A power line was reportedly accidentally struck during construction work, triggering the explosion and fire.

The victims’ injuries were deemed minor, Denver Fire Department Capt. Luis Cedillo said.
Around 90 people were displaced and will not be allowed back soon. All residents had been picked up by family members or sheltered in temporary housing.
“If they do go back, it will be only to pick up personal items in their apartments,” Cedillo said.
