A Texas man was arrested Monday after a lengthy police chase in connection to the killing of his 28-year-old girlfriend.
A 911 caller told police on Monday afternoon that 30-year-old Dylan Jones “blacked out and thinks something bad happened” to Ariel Levy, sending officers to their apartment.
Police left when no one answered the door, but about three hours later, they received another call reporting that Jones showed up at a friend’s home and confessed to killing his girlfriend.
“Jones showed up to the residence stating that he killed his girlfriend, Ariel, before leaving the location,” police said.
Jones took off in Levy’s car leading cops on a 40-minute chase that saw him running red lights and driving on the wrong side of the road before crashing.
Levy was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound at the apartment. Jones was charged with murder and evading arrest.
