A Pennsylvania man has allegedly admitted to slitting his wife’s throat before stabbing her multiple times to “ensure she was deceased.”

James Christopher Frank, 57, did not show up for work on Monday and Tuesday, leading his employer to call the police for a welfare check at his Bethlehem Township.

Officers used a ladder to access the residence through a second floor window and found Frank who allegedly told them, “My wife is dead in the bathtub.”

“I don’t want to call it a confession, but he made admissions after his participation in the death of his wife,” District Attorney Stephen Baratta said.

“Frank admitted to police that he used a steak knife to cut Glaser’s throat in the trachea area while she was still alive,” the DA’s office said.

“Frank then admitted to using a knife and a hammer to puncture Glaser’s chest and heart, estimating he did so approximately ten times. Frank admitted that the purpose of these actions was to ensure Glaser was deceased.”

Baratta added that Glaser had been dead for “many hours prior to the police response.”
