A North Dakota man was taken into custody after he allegedly fatally shot his sister and her child and critically wounding his mother on March 4.

Johnnie Gaking reportedly believed that men in ski masks were chasing him and had not been sleeping prior to the bloodbath at his Spring Lake Reservation family home.

Gaking allegedly shot his sister, Tiana Sharel Walking Eagle, and her 3-year-old daughter Lokie to the head, killing them. His mother was also shot but survived and is listed in critical condition.
