Florida woman releases dogs at utility company employees after being accused of stealing electricity

A Florida woman was taken into custody after she allegedly released her dogs at utility employees and a Polk County Sheriff’s deputy.

28-year-old Tiffany Perkins allegedly launched her two great Danes at two Duke Energy employees investigating a possible theft of utilities.

  • The employees called 911 and a responding deputy tried to speak with Perkins but was also attacked by a dog.

    Detectives later confirmed that Perkins had been stealing electricity after the power to her home was shut off.

    She faces a slew of charges including aggravated battery on law enforcement, aggravated assault on law enforcement, resisting with violence, and theft of utility services.
