An Arizona father is behind bars accused of gunning down his baby daughter using an AR-15 rifle earlier this month.
27-year-old Adam Joseph Montoya has been charged with second-degree murder, domestic violence and child abuse in connection to the shocking Feb. 3 incident.

Navajo County Attorney’s Office said that Montoya shot his 13-month-old daughter with an AR-15 rifle “in front of the child’s mother, resulting in the baby’s death.”
The mortally wounded baby was found inside a Show Low residence and rushed to Summit Regional Medical Center where she died.
Prosecutors did not provide information about a possible motive citing an ongoing investigation.
